Benjamin Decle’s “Bud” handles invite a touch of enchantment back into our interiors. These small, colorful sculptural pieces with tubular forms embrace a bold formal freedom, in the wake of the Memphis movement that the designer readily cites as “a source of inspiration.” Keeping a legacy alive also means reinterpreting it for the present—and here, the challenge is met with confidence. More than a nostalgic reference, “Bud” brings emotion into everyday life, transforming an ordinary gesture into a micro-experience: with every touch, there’s a fleeting sense of opening a door onto the imagination, like a small gateway to reverie.
The “Bud” handle engages with contemporary creative concerns, notably through the use of polyamide, a polymer that is biodegradable in industrial composting conditions.
