The “TIC” clock

The “TIC” clock offers a more poetic reading of time, freed from numbers, where hours and minutes merge into a single continuous movement—almost imperceptible, as gentle as the flow of a river. Its designer, Benjamin Decle, playfully challenges convention by disrupting our habitual ways of representing time: after all, why should the numbers remain fixed to the dial? Here, they rest on the glass that encloses them, and a slight shake can generate a new composition, as if each gesture were rewriting our sense of temporality.

The “TIC” clock engages with contemporary creative concerns, notably through the use of PETG, a recycled thermoplastic.

The clock is signed on the back side by the designer.

Benjamin Decle

Benjamin Decle is a French designer based in Lille, initially trained in cabinetmaking before studying object design at ESAD Valenciennes. Bridging craftsmanship, therapeutic design, and 3D printing, he creates expressive, unconventional pieces exhibited in France and internationally.

His practice explores the intersection of form, function, technology, and emotion, through a free visual language notably influenced by the Memphis movement. Designed and 3D-printed, his objects embody the formal freedom made possible by today’s digital technologies—welcome to new territories where substance is every bit as demanding as style.
